South Africa Cape, Safari & Rail

• Day 1:

  Upon arrival in Cape Town you will be met for your transfer to the hotel.

  Overnight on a bed and breakfast basis at the Taj Cape Town.

• Day 2:

  Today enjoy a tour of the Cape Peninsula, which allows visitors the opportunity to experience the variety of landscapes and scenery Cape Town has to offer. Experience the majestic beauty of the Atlantic seaboard and Chapman’s Peak. Continue to the quaint fishing village of Hout Bay and visit Cape Point and the colony of Jackass penguins at Boulders Beach. After a full day of sightseeing, return to your hotel in the late afternoon where the evening is at leisure.

• Day 3:

  Today depart on a full day tour of the Winelands.

  Here you get to taste the good life! The marriage of fine wine with appropriately fine food is an indescribable experience. You will enjoy wine tasting at two specially selected wine estates and lunch in the winelands (for your own account). Visit the university town of Stellenbosch, with its many museums and the gastronomic capital of South Africa, Franschoek. After a full day of sightseeing, return to your hotel in the late afternoon where the evening is at leisure.

• Day 4:

  Today is at leisure to explore the beautiful city of Cape Town.

  Maybe take a trip in the cable car up Table Mountain or a boat ride for a poignant visit to Robben Island where Nelson Mandela was imprisoned for many years. Perhaps take time to explore the vibrant V&A Waterfront with its many shops, restaurants and activities available as well as the fascinating Two Oceans Aquarium. In the summer months maybe head for the white sand beaches of Clifton and Camps Bay for people watching and soaking up the African Sun. Whatever else, you will not be at a loss for things to do!

• Day 5:

  After breakfast you will be transferred to Cape Town station for your train journey on the classic Rovos Rail.

  Overnight on a fully inclusive basis onboard Rovos Rail.

• Day 6:

  Today enjoy all the amenities of the Rovos Rail. 

  Overnight on a fully inclusive basis onboard Rovos Rail.

• Day 7:

  On arrival at Capital Park Station in Pretoria, you will be met and transferred to your hotel.

  Overnight on a bed and breakfast basis at the Peermont D'oreale Grand Hotel.

• Day 8:

  After breakfast take the shuttle bus to OR Tambo International Airport for your scheduled flight (flight cost not included) to Skukuza, where you will be met and transferred to the camp.

  Spend the next three days exploring the African Bush.

  Overnight on a fully inclusive basis at Sabi Sabi Little Bush Camp.

• Day 9:

  Nestled in the heart of the famous Sabi Sands Game Reserve, Sabi Sabi offers guests a safari experience without comparison.  Today enjoy two game drives in search of the Big Five! 
  Overnight at Sabi Sabi Little Bush Camp.  

• Day 10:

  Sabi Sabi epitomizes Africa’s magic. With no fences between the reserve and the Kruger Park, big game abounds, moving freely through this unspoiled part of the ancient African continent. Today enjoy game drives, bush walks or perhaps just relax and enjoy a day at the spa.
  Overnight at Sabi Sabi Little Bush Camp.  

• Day 11:

  After breakfast, you will be met for the transfer to the airport.
